see list of articles Tips on using intradental cleaners

Interdental cleaners are thin, wedge-shaped basswood sticks that look a lot like toothpicks. However, they are soft and pliable and help remove difficult to reach bacterial plaque. Used correctly, you can clean between all your teeth in about one minute.

Step-By-Step cleaning method

  1. Moisten the cleaner in your mouth to soften

  2. Place between your teeth with the narrow, flat side next to your gums

  3. Gently move the cleaner with an in-and-out motion with gentle pressure. Do not force the cleaner into tight spaces or you may injure your gums.

  4. Repeat for other spaces between all your teeth. Use a new cleaner if one becomes too soft.

Its that easy!... you may notice bleeding after the first use. If bleeding persists after a few days of use, consult your dentist.
